As a lifelong Star Wars fan (thanks, Dad, and your laserdisc collection), I jumped at the chance to contribute to an early-stage show treatment celebrating the women who shaped the Star Wars universe — on screen and behind the scenes.

I supported the pitch by designing the visual treatment and collaborating with writers on market and subject research. During our brainstorm, I found myself emotionally reflecting on the impact Princess Leia had on me as a kid — a reminder of why these stories matter, and who they’re for.

The project is still seeking the right home — so if you’re out there, George Lucas, the force is strong with this one.
