‘The Power of Cinema is Universal’
Universal Pictures
Pre & Post Production Producer
To kick off Universal’s studio presentation at CinemaCon, our team was asked to create a five-minute opening reel for thousands of international exhibitors and theater owners. The ask was clear: reignite the emotional pull of theatrical moviegoing and remind audiences why the cinema experience still matters — now more than ever.
We pitched and produced a nostalgic black-and-white short film featuring intimate, direct-to-camera interviews with Universal’s star-studded roster of actors, directors, and producers. Each shared personal stories and early memories of being transported by film.
Shot across six cities in just two months, we captured 11 interviews on a tight timeline and delivered the final reel within weeks. I led production planning, execution, and post supervision from initial pitch to final delivery.
Experiencing films in the cinema has the power to be a lasting and uniting force — and this project was a meaningful reminder of that truth, crafted for an audience of true believers.

“The closest thing I can get to a spiritual experience is sitting in the dark with a bunch of strangers and we’re all here for the same reason, which is to be transported.”
